Accessibility Statement
This site is used by social workers and care staff, often at speed, on a phone, sometimes at 3am. It has to work for everyone.
Our commitment
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Specifically, this site:
- Works with a keyboard alone. Every link, button and form field is reachable with a visible focus ring.
- Keeps body text contrast at 4.5:1 or better against its background.
- Uses real, resizable text. No text baked into images. Zoom to 200% without losing content.
- Respects reduced-motion settings. The scrolling film and all reveal animations switch off, and a still frame is shown instead.
- Has a skip-to-content link, correct heading order, labelled form fields and a live status region for form errors.
- Uses no CAPTCHA that depends on reading distorted characters. Spam is filtered invisibly.
- Provides a phone number as an equal alternative to every online form.
- Keeps the hero film silent and decorative, so no information is carried by video alone.
Known limitations
Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. If they fail the site falls back to system fonts and stays fully readable. We are working towards self-hosting them.
